FORMULATING: Many of our customers come to us for new formulas to stay ahead of the competition; others come to us to develop formulas for a new business. Whatever the need, we can help. We create all types of products, from basic to complex.
For example, we can create basic products, such as shampoos, but with up-to-date aspects, such as sulfate-free and paraben-free formulations. We also create cutting-edge formulas using the latest ingredients, whether in hair care, body care or cosmeceuticals.
COST: Costs for formulations vary, but generally range from approximately $3000 for a shampoo or body wash-type product; to $3500 for a cream or lotion; to somewhat more for complicated cosmeceuticals.
Included in each price is a round of revisions and stability testing; and as explained on this page, the customer wholly owns the formula and will have the costs rebated once they begin manufacturing.

OWNERSHIP: We believe that our customers should entirely own their own formulas. As a result, you receive a certificate of ownership of any formula developed by us for you.
This attitude is rare among our competitors, who generally want to own their customers' formulas. While our policy means that customers can choose to not manufacture or to stop manufacturing with us at any time, we believe that only makes us better. We want our customers to use Mansfield-King because of the quality of our services, not because they are held hostage to our ownership of a formula.
GUARANTEED REBATE: Mansfield-King is so sure of customer satisfaction with our formulation that we offer what amounts to a no-money formulation option. When a customer begins manufacturing a formulation developed by us, we rebate the entire cost of formulation back to the customer over the first ten purchase orders. We guarantee this rebate in writing. |
